AGROPORT is one of the biggest events of the agrarian sphere in Eastern Europe. Since 2018 the International Forum for the development of Farming AGROPORT has been held in three cities, covering individual interests of western and eastern agricultural producers. The terminals, exhibition areas and airfield platforms of Lviv, Kherson and Kharkiv airports will traditionally become the venue of the event.
Forum is supported by the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine and Kherson regional state administration. The organizers are the Department of Agricultural Development of Kherson Regional State Administration, the business association «We are Khersonians» and Aviabrand LLC.
AGROPORT South Kherson 2019, which will be held on July 18–20, will focus on small and medium farmers. The key topics are investment potential of Southern Ukraine, logistics of agricultural products (including – river transportation), irrigation, vegeculture, gardening, wine production, hothouse facility, organic products production, fishing, dairy breeding, poultry farming, chains of added value (agricultural processing), tourism, energy-efficient technologies and digitizing of agriculture.
It is planned that farmers and proprietors from Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovograd regions, as well as from other regions of Ukraine will be invited to participate in Kherson Agroport.
In 2019 special attention will be paid to the sustainable development (SDG) of rural areas, which will cover a range of issues: from diversification of the economy at the community level to the social sphere and food safety. Also, within the framework of the program, the Ukrainian Trypillia will take place for the second time. The format of the project includes a demonstration in the fields of the Western, Eastern and Southern Ukraine. Unlike other cities in Kherson, demonstration shows will take place all three days of the event.
